Community Collaboration for Sexual Health & Wellness

A project with Planned Parenthood Regina to host community consultation and research activities in order to better serve the intended populations in the community with a priority focus on youth and emergent needs.

About the project

Service statistics show that Planned Parenthood Regina is primarily serving the general population in need of basic health care like routine pap smears and birth control renewals that could be done at less specialised locations. Planned Parenthood Regina is seeking to refocus its efforts to serve the intended populations in the community with a priority focus on youth and emergent needs.

To achieve this goal, Planned Parenthood Regina hired Ivy + Dean Consulting to conduct a community consultation through online surveys, one-on-one interviews, and community roundtable events, with a special focus on youth ages 12 to 18, 2SLGBTQ+ people, newcomers to Canada (especially those who do not have a Saskatchewan Health Card and/or private insurance), and those who are experiencing homelessness or poverty.
